La ciudad de Zaragoza, en el noreste español, tiene desde hoy una calle dedicada a uno de los personajes más populares de los videojuegos, el gasfitero Mario, del videojuego âSuper Mario Bros.â.

Se trata de la avenida principal de Arcosur, un nuevo barrio que albergará 21.000 viviendas, y su inauguración se desarrolló hoy en un ambiente festivo, con la participación de sus futuros moradores, que lucían mostachos al estilo del popular fontanero de este videojuego.

PRIMEROS EN EL MUNDO
El nombre de la avenida había sido elegido por votación popular, con el respaldo del 80% de los vecinos del lugar.

âQueríamos ser el primer barrio del mundo que dedicara una calle a uno de los personajes más emblemáticos de nuestra cultura moderna, porque ¿quién no ha oído hablar alguna vez de Mario Bros.?â, dijo un representante de esos vecinos.

El videojuego âSuper Mario Bros.â fue creado hace 25 años por Shigeru Miyamoto, que este año fue candidato al premio Príncipe de Asturias de Comunicación y Humanidades, de España.

La Super Mario Bros, que por cuestiones de planeamiento aún no se encuentra asfaltada, será la avenida principal del barrio, con una longitud de 921 metros, a lo largo de los cuales se repartirán alrededor de 785 hogares.

Halo originalmente se desarrolló para ser un videojuego que funcionaría en Mac usando OpenGL. Bungie era una compañía que desarrollaba videojuegos exclusivamente en esa plataforma (Marathon, Myth, Oni) eventualmente, con la compra de Bungie por Microsoft lo portarían para que funcione en Xbox con Direct X.

¿Quién fue la primera persona en mencionar la existencia de Halo publicamente? en un golpe de inmensa ironía: el mismísimo Steve Jobs durante su keynote en Macworld 1999.

Desde el día de su lanzamiento (10 de noviembre de 2004) hasta mediados de noviembre de 2006, Halo 2 fue el título más popular en Xbox Live, aún después del lanzamiento de Xbox 360 y videojuegos para la nueva consola. No fue hasta la salida de Gears of War que perdió el primer puesto en la plataforma multiplayer.

Ejecutivos de estudios de cine estaban convencidos que el lanzamiento de Halo 3 lastimó considerablemente la asistencia a salas cinematográficas durante esos días. Si se compara la semana del 25 de septiembre de 2007 con la del 2006, hubo una disminución del 27% en ventas.

El famoso final (por malo) de Halo 2 no debió ser así, muchos lo consideran insuficiente y que no está a la altura de la historia de la primera entrega de la trilogía. De hecho se considera que todo el modo campaña de juego no es muy bueno y sobre todo: bastante corto (y yo estoy de acuerdo). Esto sucedió porque el desarrollo se alargó, para cumplir el tiempo de entrega y lanzarlo a finales de 2004 tuvieron que quitar algunos segmentos de la historia y terminar el juego de esa manera.

Por cierto, durante años se ha intentado hacer una película adaptada a partir del videojuego con Peter Jackson y su productora a la cabeza. Después de intentar que Guillermo del Toro la dirija (y este no acepte) le asignó el proyecto a Neill Blomkamp quien estuvo trabajando en él durante bastante tiempo pero el proyecto colapsó.

Ante ello Jackson dio âcarta blancaâ a Blomkamp para que desarrolle un nuevo proyecto con la productora el cual se convirtió en la fantástica District 9, una hecho bastante curioso, aunque no directamente relacionado pero sí derivado de Halo.

Edgard "N", "El Ponchis", de 14 años de edad, acusado de degollar a los adversarios del cártel de los Beltrán Leyva en Morelos, fue detenido por soldados de la 24 zona militar la noche de ayer en el aeropuerto estatal "Mariano Matamoros", a 17 kilómetros al sur de la capital morelense, junto con dos de sus hermanas.

Su boleto de vuelo marcaba el asiento 20 E con dirección a Tijuana y de ahí llegaría a San Diego, Estados Unidos, de donde es originario y reside su madre. Antes de ser entregado por los soldados al Ministerio Público Federal, "El Ponchis" admitió ante la prensa haber degollado por lo menos a cuatro sujetos que después aparecieron desmembrados y colgados en un puente vial de la autopista Cuernavaca-México, hace dos meses aproximadamente.

"El Ponchis" podría ser vinculado a proceso de acuerdo al sistema de justicia para adolescentes que considera a menores de 14 a 18 años de edad, declaró por separado la magistrada del Tribunal Unitario de Justicia para Adolescentes en Morelos.

En el momento de su detención "El Ponchis" era acompañado por dos de sus hermanas pero sólo una de ellas, de 19 años de edad, identificada como Elizabeth, lo acompañaría en su viaje a San Diego, California. Su hermana es catalogada por los mandos castrenses como cabecilla del grupo "Las Chabelas" quienes supuestamente se encargaban de trasladar los cadáveres en camionetas y después arrojarlos a orillas de carretera.

- ¿Tienes miedo? No, respondió.

- ¿Sabes lo que viene? Sí, sé lo que va a pasar.

- ¿Por qué los matabas? Me ordenaba "El Negro". Sólo me drogaba con mota y no sabía lo que hacía.

- ¿Por qué te metiste en esto? "No me metí, me jalaron".

- ¿Estas arrepentido? "Sí, de haber entrado a esto y de matar".

- ¿Si sales en libertad qué vas hacer? "Me voy a ir por la derecha, trabajaré de lo que sea menos de eso".

"El Ponchis" negó ante la prensa a sus padres, pero su hermana confió después que su madre estaba en Estados Unidos. El menor declaró que por degollar a los rivales del CPS recibía como pago 2 mil 500 dólares y a veces le pagaban en pesos mexicanos.

Dijo que "El Negro" lo comenzó a drogar desde los 12 años y que un día lo "levantaron" y le advirtieron "si no trabajas con nosotros te vamos a matar", y desde entonces fue parte del CPS.

El jefe de los hermanos era Julio de Jesús Radilla Hernández o Julio Jesús Padilla Hernández, "El Negro", ubicado por las fuerzas castrenses como el nuevo líder del Cártel del Pacífico Sur (CPS), una célula del cártel de los Beltrán Leyva en Morelos. Actualmente está prófugo.

En su declaración ante la prensa "El Ponchis" aceptó pertenecer al CPS, una célula que lidera Héctor Beltrán Leyva, "El H", luego de la muerte de su hermano Arturo en diciembre de 2009. Desde entonces, el CPS se alió con Los Zetas para disputar la plaza a La Familia Michoacana y grupos afines a ídgar Valdez Villarreal, "La Barbie", éste último detenido. A la fecha suman más de 325 muertos de acuerdo con el levantamiento de cadáveres.

"El Ponchis" es parte del grupo de jóvenes de entre 12 y 23 años de edad que publicó fotografías en internet posando con armas, droga, autos y degollando a sus adversarios. Eso permitió que los soldados de la 24 zona militar los persiguieran y en la última semana del mes de octubre pasado detuvieran a varios de sus integrantes en una casa de seguridad, en el municipio de Jiutepec, situado en la zona conurbada de Cuernavaca.
